Jesus Mind Glaze

Jesus Mind Glaze aka Cameron Lowe grew up steeped in music, with records and tapes spinning constantly on the family stereo. From classic rock ’n’ roll to the boundary-pushing projects of his father, James Lowe of the legendary Electric Prunes, great music intertwined with life as a magical soundtrack.

In his teens Cameron was already forming bands and exploring songwriting and performance. He studied music at UCSB and built a rich musical life, both on stage and in the studio. Along the way, he toured across the US, UK, and Europe with the reformed Electric Prunes, recorded with friends, and co-wrote country songs with his longtime friend and Nashville hit songwriter Marv Green.

A few years ago, while working on demos for his screenplay Songs of Innocence, Cameron reconnected with his passion for recording. That creative spark ignited the full-length album Age of Reflection (2021), about which Shindig! Magazine wrote, “…Mastered at Abbey Road, it’s a far-out collection of mad psych and rock…”.

Driven by an ever-deepening artistic vision, Cameron began crafting his next album Heartbreak World in 2022, a lush and evocative project three years in the making. During this time, his travels—especially a soul-stirring visit to the Beatles Ashram in Rishikesh, India—infused his music with global textures and eclectic instruments.

Cameron also enjoys spending several months each year at his 18th-century farmhouse in the verdant, rolling countryside of Southwest France. Surrounded by wildflowers, forest trails and centuries-old mossy stone walls, it’s a place that feeds his soul, keeping his music grounded in rustic beauty.

His psychedelic-infused songs are a joyful blend of mystery, playfulness and inspired arrangements. DJ Lon Palmer of Poptopia Parkway, KSER 90.7 Washington referred to Cameron’s music as…”a forward-thinking expansion of the sounds of the Electric Prunes and the 60s, but inhabiting his own space at the same time.”

The songs are produced in collaboration with Chris Sikora at Voyager Studios using vintage tape machines and top-notch analog gear.  More music from Jesus Mind Glaze is on the horizon, and you're going to want to hear this!
